Rachel is the Director of Hornsby & Co. She oversees all facets of the organisation from research to stakeholder engagement, policy development, and negotiation between developers and local government. She tailors her response to effectively deliver projects within three key sectors – not for profit, government, and developers.

Rachel has more than 20 years’ experience in local government in Australia and New Zealand, including at an Executive level, together with hands on experience in the community housing sector.

Rachel established Hornsby & Co. in 2016 and has successfully supported community housing organisations across Australia to help them grow their capability and portfolio. Rachel has also worked with local governments to undertake the research, engagement, and development of social and affordable housing strategies.

John is an expert financial modeller with significant experience with governance, corporate finance, and real estate investment research. For 30 years he has brought his deep technical financial expertise and passion for market analysis to the fields of fund management and real estate research.

As an asset management supervisor, John had oversight of $50m acquisition and development projects. As Managing Director of Investment Property Databank, he successfully tripled the company’s real estate dataset and quadrupled its revenue.

His applied research and creative thinking at IPD resulted in new performance measurement and analytical products that isolate performance contributors in real estate funds. These products were then applied globally.
